WHO WE ARE: Founded in January 2025, Southend Indivisible (SEI) builds progressive power in South King County, organizes advocacy, volunteer, and educational opportunities to stand with communities targeted by ICE and the un-American policies of the Trump administration, and plans direct action to fight for freedom and justice for all.
WHAT WE DO: *Host community meetings to inspire, inform & gear up for action in defense of neighbors *Protest at Southcenter & DHS in Tukwila *Wave huge anti-ICE banners seen by hundreds of thousands on freeway overpasses *Organize community defense efforts to protect our neighbors *Host a hospitality table at DHS with snacks, coffee, water & know-your-rights materials *Host trainings on building your power, knowing your rights & staying safe *Organize postcard writing boosting progressives across the U.S. *Organize members to testify at city councils urging action on ICE terror, expansion & surveillance *And more!
OUR CORE PRINCIPLES: We fight to rid America of fascism, to protect democracy, and to advance freedom and justice for marginalized people in South King County and everywhere. We center the voices of those most impacted by the lawlessness and cruelty of ICE, Trump, and the MAGA movement - immigrants, refugees, people of color, working class, LGBTQ+, workers, veterans & servicemembers, the incarcerated, women, religious minorities, disabled persons, and more. We believe the most effective and moral path to resisting this fascist takeover of America is through peaceful, non-violent means in the same vein that the Civil Rights Movement was fought.
